Furthermore, they have invested their time in reading numerous inspirational books on Christian relationships that prepared them for courtship for seven years.

This was a seven-year long-distance relationship between two continents and time zones-Nigeria and the United States. They worked through the complex challenges of communication, separation, different perspectives, cultural differences, family pressure, peer pressure, visa processing delays, and denial.

After overcoming these initial challenges, they got married in 2008.

They now had to navigate through the first two years of building their relationship and overcoming the struggles of differences in principles, likes and dislikes, family background, career pursuit, raising kids, multiple relocations, military deployment, and still living a life pleasing to God.

The first two years of their marriage were the most challenging, but they held on to God, submitted to biblical principles, and allowed God to work through their weaknesses and struggles and get the breakthrough they needed.
